| The silo structure is widely used in production and living fields, such as industry, agriculture etc.,and plays an important role in grain storage especially. Grain safe and ecological storage is the basisof national development and social harmony. Based on the Chinese grain development strategy andthe development trend of grain silo, a new super-large truncated cone-shaped steel-cable-bamboo silois put forward, and it has good performances on mechanical behavior and temperature control.Firstly, five friction coefficients between grain and bamboo are calculated based on theexperiments of five grain’s internal friction angle and their friction coefficients with bamboo silo wall.Besides, the finite element method is applied to the steel skeleton selection of super-large silo and theoptimization of steel skeleton arrangement and member sections. Next, the self-adaptive load path ofprestressed cable in silo is researched. And the arrangement, member section and prestressed size ofsteel cable are optimized. Then, the force mechanism of truncated cone-shaped silo is analyzed. Thecalculation formula of lateral pressure is derivated and verified, and the regularity of truncatedcone-shaped silo’s obliquity effect on silo loading is analyzed. Finally, the super-large truncatedcone-shaped steel-cable-bamboo silo, combined the effect of bamboo silo wall, steel skeleton,prestressed cable and truncated cone-shaped silo, is studied on stress mechanism and optimization ofstructure arrangement.The following conclusions can be drawn by the research:(1) Each of the calculated friction coefficient between grain and bamboo wall are smaller thanthat between grain and steel wall or that between grain and concrete wall.(2) The overall deformation of silo is well constrained by steel skeleton, and the new silo needsless steel than steel plate silo when the capacity is definited.(3) The cable and steel skeleton composed a self-adaptive system, and the internal force anddeformation can be adjusted actively by the prestress applied.(4) The truncated cone-shaped silo wall has much smaller lateral pressure as compared withcylindrical silo, although part of the silo capacity is sacrificed.(5) The super-large truncated cone-shaped steel-cable-bamboo silo can adjust its path of forcetransfer actively to improve the overall mechanical properties. |
