As an important performance parameter of aeroengine,accurate fuel flow measurement is a basiccondition to improve the reliability and confidence level of various ground tests results.Because of theadvantages of high accuracy,good repeatability and others,turbine flowmeter are widely used for flowmeasuring in the fuel and oil system of aeroengine.Research on flowmeter calibration techniques anddevices oriented aeroengine ground tests has its significant application value in engineering.To meet a wide range and high accuracy calibration,a turbine flowmeter calibration device withdual-plunger metering cylinder is presented in this thesis.Controlled by a host computer,the devicecan achieve online comparison between the calculated flow from metering cylinder and the actualflow from the calibrated flowmeter.First,influences of the plunger structure on the instantaneousdelivery and the mean flow of the metering cylinder were studied,and the external leakage induced bythe tolerance of typical geometric parameters was analyzed in the process of fuel delivering.Then themathematical model of the calibration device was built for the dynamic performance.The deducedmathematical model of turbine flowmeter was used for the system modeling and simulation byAMESim,which can prove the system effects on account of the steady-state and dynamic analysis.Finally,the impact of different metering flow and plunger speed on the meter-factor K was studied byexperiments, and also the flow stability of the metering cylinder under full stroke calibration wasverified for the desired range of experimental conditions.Results show that,the flow stability of thecalibration device can reach up to0.5%and the meter-factor difference of the calibrated turbineflowmeter is about0.3%.The calibration device with dual-plunger metering cylinder is reasonablyavailable and can satisfy a wide-range calibration of liquid flow meter,providing the necessaryconditions of precise fuel flow measurement in various aeroengine ground tests.
