In the early1970s, the advent of vector control makes the AC motor get the high dynamicperformance which is similar to the performance of the DC motor. Vector control has a great influenceon the speed control system. The paper mainly studies the basic idea of vector control and thenestablished a speed sensorless vector control system based on MRAS. The experiment has achievedsatisfied results on the basis of the speed sensorless vector control simulation model. The major workof this paper including:(1) Discussed the basic idea of vector control, analysised the advantages and disadvantages ofvector control and built up a speed regulating system based on FOC and SVPWM strategies.(2) Introduced the Popov super stability theory which supported the MRAS theory. Studied thebasic idea of MRAS and analysised three methods of MRAS in detail. Proposed a suitable one and builtup the model of the speed sensorless vector control model based on MRAS.(3) Built up the speed control simulation with FOC and the speed sensorless simulation by theprogram of Matlab/Simulink. The results told us that: at low-speed、high-speed、rotating-speed orno-load start、start with a load cases, the above control systems showed good performance andachieved the designed requirements.(4) The experiment has adopted the TMS320F2812DSP to build up a digital platform of thespeed control system with FOC scheme. Compiled the corresponding program in CCS3.1and did theonline debugging. Verified the feasibility of IM control system by the experimental results.
