Design Research On The Cultural Heritage Of Historic Sites In Guangzhou Wenchong Village During The Block Change

Since20C80’s,Chinese cities have experienced a large-scale and high speedconstruction and expansion of the modernization, leading to a rapidly change of the the cityappearance,an unprecedented growth of economic development and the improvement ofpeople’s living standard. But at the same time,this also led to the serious urban crisis:"village in cities" with poor living conditions influences the city appearance;"historical andcultural heritage" in this area suffer from different degrees of damage, lost the siteatmosphere and the historical memory. Aware of the seriousness of the problem,Guangzhouis going to the road of intensive development. The three old reform and reconstruction ofthe village also created new opportunities for historical sites updating.Facing the new opportunity of urban development and cultural inheritance, this paper,from the perspective of the sites’cultural heritage,takes Wenchong village,which is inHuangpu district in Guangzhou with a clear Guangfu village context but also can not escapethe urbanization, as the research object.By making use of the theory of historical andcultural heritage renewal and the phenomenology of architecture, this paper take a researchon how to inherit and continuate the cultural tradition and the memory of the historical sitesunder the background of block reform.First of all,according to the investigation results of Wenchong village and related data,this paper makes a research and summarization on Wenchong village’s historic sites fromthree aspects:natural environment, artificial environment and human environment.At thesame time, investigate and evaluate the current situation of Wenchong Village,put forwardthe views that The historical sites’cultural, contain not only the material culture:the naturalenvironment such as landform, climate and Fengshui, as well as the artificial environmentfactors like the village layout,space node, architecture and landscape;but also thenon-material cultural implication: daily life, religion and belief, customs and festivals,process and art, history and humanities environment factors.Finally, this paper make the cultural transmission design for historical sites inWenchong village according to the research above, stress the principles and update mode, put forward the inheritance design from three aspects of natural environment, artificialenvironment and human environment,and explore the cultural heritage in the historical sitesin the block in change.
