Regional Spatial Structure Study Of Pearl River Delta From ’Space Of Flows’ Viewpiont

The empirical research of PRD regional spatial structure from " Space of Flows "perspective is the core of this thesis. It not only interprets theoretically, but also predictingPRD from "Space of Flows" theory. For regional studies, it is expanding its boarder. Directlycopied from European theory, applying to the Chinese cities and regions may experiencesome problems. This is because European cities and the Pearl River Delta region, after all, areof two different backgrounds and objects. Therefore, before beginning empirical research onthe Pearl River Delta, the research methodology from " Space of Flows " perspective has beendesigned.Professor Zhou Jianyun (2014) pointed out that for the Pearl River Delta region,"Spaceof Flows" theory is available. Because "Space of Flows" theory is a summary of the generalexperience of European cities and regional development. It is theoretical universalexplanatory. Into the Pearl River Delta is applicable, but it needs to be amended. If notcorrected, it may encounter a large deviation. So this article is both empirical research but alsotheoretical studies. By the way,"Space of Flows" theory is improving their own.When summed up the experience in Europe and the Pearl River Delta, we put forward aset of methods of the empirical study from "Space of Flows" theory. People who have notdone before, but we do. Philosophical discussions things are from the "structural" to"deconstruction", and eventually into the "reconstruction". Therefore, it applies to theevolution relationship between "Flow" and "Regional Spatial Structure". According to itselements and characteristics, we divide "flows" in the area into several types with grasping itsessence. Then on the "Space of Flows" morphology and structure were analyzed with thereality of the case to be compared, to get some valuable conclusions.Early studies using traditional geography perspective to explain and predict thedevelopment of the Pearl River Delta, in the "Transition and Reconstruction" era, will facesome challenges. Therefore, this article is equal to one explanation for a tool that is moresuitable to explain it. Can explain this thing, it means that the development of the theory andthe reality of it is fit. Being able to explain it shows this theory has the guide function topractice. With "Space of Flows" tool we are able to predict the spatial structure of Pearl RiverDelta region. Some theoretical tools cannot be used to predict. It is purely illustrative withoutmuch sheer explanatory value. That theory is good which can guide practice and predict. According to this theory to predict the development of the Pearl River Delta region, theconclusion has become our common development objectives and requirements. Because,according to this law to push it, it will go in this expected development goals-this is thesignificance of this study.
