With the development of the transportation infrastructure, Composite girder cable-stayedbridges are widely used in China in recent years by the advantages that are fast constructionspeed, superior spanning capacity, progressive construction method and excellent economicalefficiency. Research results indicated that influence factors about the security of theconstruction of the composite girder cable-stayed bridges are variable, and the probability ofthe construction risk events is higher, so the researches on the security analysis method andthe risk management technique of the construction of the composite girder cable-stayedbridges. In order to guarantee the construction quality and security, this paper carried out theresearches on the security evaluation method and management strategy of the construction ofthe long-span composite girder cable-stayed bridge basing on the project which is a compositegirder cable-stayed bridge of the south branch of Xia-Zhang Bridge.The following research contents were conducted in this paper:1. Through discussion about the importance of the security evaluation technique andmanagement strategy, this paper summarized the research situation by reading domestic andoverseas papers.2. This paper classified the bridge safety cases collected basing on the bridge types andthe causes of the accidents and summarized the characteristics and the rules of the bridgesafety accidents, which provide the basis for distinguishing the risk source during theconstruction of the composite girder cable-stayed bridges.3. Safety evaluation about the key construction techniques of the girders, cable stays,towers, pile foundations and caps was made by analytic hierarchy process and fuzzymathematical method, through which the risk rated ratio and severity were got.4. Basing on those works, this paper researched the management strategies of theconstruction stages and provided the management strategies with the associativity, priority,scientificity, feasibility, bridging, execution, fairness and specialty.
