When the driving safety distance is improper,vehicle collision avoidance warning devicecan send a warning signal through the voice device to force the driver to take positive andeffective measures for preventing the vehicle in a dangerous driving conditions,and finally toachieve the purpose of reduce the highway traffic accident. Some of the world famousautomobile companies have automotive anticollision early-warning technology applied forvehicle active safety. China is also actively exploring this area in an effort to pull automotivecollision warning technology to products promotion.In this article,we have done a lot of work in selecting the appropriate distance sensor andestablishing theoretical safety model. Through the comparison and development requirementsof this device,we select laser sensor as DME of highway, with DSP2812as the core processor,and design the relevant speed acquisition module, display module and voice alarm module,develop the hardware circuit board, and write the corresponding program according to therelated algorithm. Finally,a large number of real vehicle experiment on the highway weredone to test this device hardware working stability and algorithm reliability. By continuouslyoptimizing the parameters of the algorithm,it can run the car closer to the real situation, toachieve the purpose of effectively prevent traffic accidents on the highway. Experimentalresults show that this device can work effectively for early warning on the highway,and itmake the driver to take appropriate measures to prevent the occurrence of traffic accidents,this lays a solid foundation for development of related mature products in the future.
