The output power of automobile chassis system is one of the key evaluation indexes ofautomobile dynamic performance. It reflects the power transmission performance of theengine and the fuel efficiency. Its performance directly affects the transportation efficiency, the stability and the safety of the vehicle and the pollution because of motor vehicle exhaustemission. Strengthen the key detection technology research of the automobile chassis outputpower, develop such a test system which is safety, efficiency and accuracy is good forimproving the detection skills of automobile chassis output power, saving social energy andprotecting our environment. This Dissertation deeply researched the key technology of the detection of automobilechassis output power and finally developed such a detection system. Works include:1. Researched the measuring method and theory of automobile chassis output power insimulated condition. Designed and developed a system to automatically detect the outputpower of automobile chassis.2. Implemented a chassis power output testing hardware system based on PCI bus. Theprocessing core of this card is the STC15F2K60S2microcontroller which is based on the8051kernel. It realized many kinds of signals’ collection, modulation and control in theprocess of chassis output power detection.3. Implemented the microcontroller program, the device driver program of the board cardand the host computer test program base on the Windows environment. The microcontrollerprogram completed many kinds of signals’ collection. The driver program completed thecommunication with the host computer. The host computer test program completed the input, output and control task of the whole process of measurement.4. Completed the parameter setting of PID algorithm which was used to control thetorque, simulated the algorithm using Simulink and tested it in the actual workingenvironment. The results show that the parameter setting of the algorithm is reasonable and itsatisfies the requirements and precision of the actual control environment. This Dissertation calibrated and tested the complete vehicle detection system of theoutput power of chassis. The results indicate that the system runs stably and reliably, theaccuracy of detection and real-time sampling satisfipd the government standard and therequirements of the practical engineering application.
