Solar energy is a renewable, non-polluting clean energy, developing and using of solar energyvigorously to alleviate our current intensive energy crisis has important practical significance. Based on thestudy of existing theories related to the spotlight on the design of a new chase light control system, willcombined with the day motion trajectory tracking and photoelectric tracking, to overcome the problem ofaccumulated error about motion trajectory tracking, but also solve the shortcomings of photoelectrictracking susceptible to external influences, and chas light performance instability. The research works inthis paper mainly focus on the following aspects:(1) Compare to chase the light of existing theories and methods, to analyze the most widely used forseveral functions and features of photoelectric conversion element currently, This article will use daymotion trajectory tracking and photoelectric tracking combined with sun tracking program, Four-quadrantsilicon photocell as a photoelectric conversion components of the system.(2) By depending on the relevant day motion trajectory tracking solar elevation angle and azimuthcalculation accuracy and practicality comparative analysis, in this paper intends to adopt Akao sun angleand the time difference is calculated.(3) Hardware and software systems are designed. the hardware mainly design relate of MCU interfacecircuit, photoelectric conversion circuit, liquid crystal display circuit and motor drive circuit;Systemsoftware uses a modular design, there were divided into two parts of the module, which are trajectorytracking module and photoelectric tracking modulet.(4) Finally, photoelectric tracking module uses circuit simulation software PROTEUS-ISIS for motordrive part to simulation, through the analysis shows that the motor rotation angle of the design meets thesystem requirements.By actual debugging and testing show that the system is fully capable in the absence of external powersupply, the use of electricity generated by solar panels to drive two DC motors, achieved under differentweather conditions on the real-time tracking of the sun,this will help improve the photoelectric conversionefficiency from device aspacts of the solar photovoltaic generation.
