Generally, some traditional methods such as drilling and blasting method have beenwidely used in large slope tunnel drivage while Shield has rarely been used. Due to the lowspeed in large slope tunnel constructions, and they are no longer satisfying the constructionrequirements of large slope tunnels along with the rapid development of national construction.However, Shield, with its’ advantages as safety, efficient, express, pro-environment, etc., hasobvious benefits in the field of construction, and it has become an irresistible trend to applyShield in the construction of large slope tunnels. We cannot deny that due to the low level oftheory and the serious lack of construction experience, a lot of problems need to be solvedwhen Shield have been used in large slope tunnel. Segment mechanics and surrounding rockstability have a great influence on engineering construction, study them has profoundsignificance.This thesis set the construction of the large slope tunnels in Xinjietaigemiao mine as abackground, the type selection of segments in large slope tunnels is discussed, the calculationformulas of the external load and segment mechanics in large slope tunnels is identified, byusing GUANYONGFA, the segment mechanics is calculated, and the influencing rule ofburial depth on segment mechanics is concluded. Then the influencing rule of slope angle onsegment mechanics was summarized after the calculation of segment mechanics whenincreasing the angle between the large slope tunnel and the ground surface. A suitableformulas for the calculation of Shield thrust in large slope tunnels is put forward. And throughcalculating the Shield thrust in Xinjietaigemiao mine area, the influencing rule of burial depthon Shield thrust is concluded. Then the influencing rule of slope angle on Shield thrust issummarized after the calculation of Shield thrust when increasing the angle between the largeslope tunnel and the ground surface. The adjoining rock stability of large slope tunnels is simulated with the use of FLAC3D, from which the deflection of surrounding rock inXinjietaigemiao mine area is found. Then through a comparison with the deflection whenincreasing the slope angel, the influencing rule of the increased slope angle of large slopetunnels on deflection is concluded.This thesis got the rules of segment mechanics, Shield thrust and adjoining rock stabilityas increased burial depth and increased slope angle, for related basic theoretical research, ithas certain reference meaning, and construction, it has certain teaching value.
