In recent years, an increasing number of capacitor banks are required in industrialprocesses; meanwhile, a large number of nonlinear loads and all kinds of sensitive devicesare added in residential electricity.This will aggravate the harmonic distortion degree of thepower system, which will cause serious consequences to the secure operation of thegrid.Aiming at this situation, this paper researches voltage monitoring and controllingsystem based on data mining technology.At first, the harmonic signal in the power system is trained based on BP neural networkalgorithm, Adaline ANN, Hanning FFT, FFT-Adaline algorithm respectively. As a result,BP neural network algorithm has a better performance in monitoring frequency, amplitudeand phase in power system harmonics signal precisely.Secondly, this paper analyzes the limitations of BP neural network algorithm. The BPneural network is optimized by improving PSO(particle swarm optimization). Experimentalresults show that compared with the traditional PSO of neural network algorithm andStandard BP neural network algorithm, the improved PSO-BP neural network algorithm issuperior to others algorithms and is fast and accurate in monitoring harmonics signal.Finally, in this article the improved PSO-BP neural network algorithm is applied tomonitor voltage harmonics data of voltage monitoring and controlling system. A voltagemonitoring and controlling system is designed and implemented with Netbeans asdevelopmental tool, J2EE as a developmental technology, MVC as developmental modeland SQL Server2005as back-end database of systems. This system can monitor data of theoperation of the grid voltage and harmonic in real-time. At last, probabilistic statisticalmethod is used to analyze the quality of the grid voltage, which can directly see thevoltage qualified rate. System designed can help those who work and take charge for thegrid to make a reasonable analysis and decision, thus, it contributes to the secure, stable andeconomic operation of grid.
