In recent years, natural refrigerant R290has been more and more attention because of itsexcellent performance. Refrigerant and refrigerating oil are two kind of functional fluids in thecooling system, the efficiency of the refrigeration system determine by both of refrigerant andrefrigerating oil.Research and development refrigerating oil must be according to specificrefrigerant proceed, because of the inevitable contact between refrigerant and refrigerating oilin the working cycle.According to the Refrigerating conditions, polyether ester has a new chemical structurewas synthesized. The catalyst for the reaction system were investigated, and on this basis, thereaction temperature, time and amount of catalyst were studied. While the process of catalystremoving of crude product were optimized. Chemical structure and amount of the adsorbentwas investgated by experiment. Method for removing residual acid were optimized based onexperiment. Condition of light components removing was investgated.IR and NMR was employed to reflect structural characterization of products The basicphysical and chemical properties of synthetic esters have been detected by national standards.These properties include hydrolysis stability, oxidation stability, water absorption,resistance.And pyrolytic stability was concluded byTGA.To obtain the viscosity of pentaerythritol esters and polyether esters under variouspressure of propane (R290), a laboratory made lubricants-refrigerant online viscositymeasurement system have been employed to measure the viscosity of the liquid fraction.Stability under practical conditions was tested by sealed tube, the overall performance ofpolyether ester is better than the reference oil.Properties of the tribology have been tested by four-ball wear tester and surface tester. Theresults show that the wear amount of the polyether ester less than mineral oil,polyol esters,and polyether esters have better viscosity characteristics, the cooling efficiency increased by1.7%compared to mineral oil in the propane refrigeration system.
