Hypersonic aircrafts was a new type of aircrafts, being developed by major powersof the world, which had extremely important economic and military value. With theincreasing development of propulsion technologies, such as scramjet, aircraft flightMach number increased dramatically, accompanied by the work environment is worse.In particular, with the long-time extreme aerodynamic heating load, the temperature ofthe airframe material of wing would be significantly increased, when the flight speedwas further improved. At this time, to further improve the flight speed,“Flying ThermalCorridor” limits would be caused easily.ABL airborne laser weapon was a representative of the high-power laser weapons,which was focused on the development by the United States as a new conception today.High power laser irradiation damage was mainly caused by three aspects as thermal,mechanical and radiation damages of the material, and direct characterizationparameters for laser ablation was the thermal and mechanical effects of the materialcaused by laser irradiation.The photonic crystal structure (PCs) had been emerging research hotspots in thefield of thermal protection, due to its constituent materials with low thermalconductivity, while energy band gap structure of itself could effective reflect ofelectromagnetic energy.In this thesis, hypersonic wings fly at Mach6and the typical process of ABLweapon was selected as the target conditions. With PCs as a protective material, the keyparameters of the two conditions with or without protection, such as temperature fieldand stress field, were calculated and analyzed, respectively. The calculation of heatingprocess of hypersonic aerodynamic was carried out by using numerical simulationsoftware; typical operational processes ABL system was researched by developing asimulation system, which was designed by building the framework and algorithmicprocess. Two categories with five kinds of optimization were proposed to optimize thethermal protective performance of PCs by combining the two typical conditions.The results indicated that the low thermal conductivity of the material of PCs is amajor factor which resulted its behavior of against laser radiation, and the energy bandgap structure of PCs is the key factor for the feature of protecting heating process ofhypersonic aerodynamic.The results also indicated that the protective properties of PCs could be optimizedgreatly, by using these kinds of optimization to design it, when given the conditions.
