Fluidized bed technology was first used in the field of chemical industry, until the1960s, the technology was applied in boiler industry. Compared with other furnaces,fluidized bed boiler has many advantages, such as low investment and operationcost, strong adaptability for coal and low pollutant emissions. It plays an important rolein energy conservation and environmental protection. Therefore, the technology hasbeen popularized in the world.Fluidized bed boiler start-up is an important part of the successful operation. To geta good way to start, researchers made a lot of experiments. But it is very difficult to getspecific effects of some parameters on the ignition process by this way. In order toprovide theoretical reference for engineering application, This paper analyzes theinfluence of different parameters on the flow field by simulation.The paper analyzes the changes of jet penetration depth and gas-solid contactsurface with in different parameters, such as jet angle, jet velocity and jet entrancelocation. The calculation results show: when the jet angle or jet velocity increases, thegas jet depth and gas-solid contact surface width also increases. If the jet angle or jetvelocity exceeds a certain value, the jet depth and gas-solid contact surface width willdecrease. when the jet entrance position improve, gas-solid contact width increases,however, the jet penetration depth decreases. Based on the above research contents canbe found: When the fluidized bed boiler start by this way, the burner jet angle shouldnot be too large and the burner should be placed near the surface of the bed layer.If the fluidized bed boiler start by this way, high temperature flue gas can only heatthe local bed material, heat loss is very serious, the fuel utilization rate is very low. Inorder to solve the above problem, the burner entrance can be placed in the bed internal.Based on the numerical results of the flow field, we can find: the plan is feasible.
