Space-based attack and defense which is inevitable in the future war mainlyembodies in the electronic reconnaissance and interference of non-cooperativespacecrafts. It makes the chasing spacecraft to determine the target spacecraft positionthrough relative navigation. Approaching to the target spacecraft and flying-around isthe way to finish the mission. This paper mainly studies the relative navigation, orbitaltransfer and flying-around.First of all, this paper states the research background about relative motion of thetwo spacecraft, relative navigation and the tracking of the theory of flying-around. Themain research content based on the research background is summarized in this paper.Secondly, the relative motion model which is based on the theory of space isdeduced. The linearization error that the linearization of relative motion model brings isanalyzed. Meanwhile the simulation is given to obtain the linearization error. Analyzethe motion relations of the two spacecrafts. With the J2disturbance, the influence of theorbit model is analyzed. Then, two kinds of observation method which are the ground-based measurementand space-based measurement is put forward to determine the position ofnon-cooperative spacecrafts. Through the measurement model and system model, theextended Kalman filter and the unscented Kalman filter are applied to smooth.Meanwhile the simulation is given to obtain the results of EKF and UKF.Finally, the orbit transfer problem that the chasing spacecraft transfer to the targetspacecraft is studied based on pulse method. Similar with the two pulses method, thepulses method which is the equal time and the equal distance is put forward. Meanwhile, the glide-slope pulses method is put forward to meet the needs of practical engineering. In addition, based on the optimal control theory the optimal energy transfer track isconsidered. Furthermore, the nature orbit trajectory in the same plane and the differentplanes is taken into account based on the relative motion. Single pulse orbit trajectoryand multiple-pulses trajectory are designed. Then, the simulation is given to simulatethe orbit trajectory and analyze the velocity pulse.
