In recent years, with the continuous increasement of the voltage grade of ourcountry electric power transmission line, the rapid expansion of power grid and worsen ofthe environment, the pollution flashover accident outdoor running line insulator isincreasingly seriously, often causing blackouts because of pollution flashover, for a longtime to paralyze the power grid. Take effective measures to ensure the safety of thetransmission line operation, especially for insulator pollution flashover characteristics ofthe research is of great significance.In this article, using the finite element method, two-dimensional of insulator electricfield calculation model is established to analyze the insulator filthy layer formed after dryzone, the distribution of electric field and potential., the electric field distribution insulatorinflanced by different location and width of insulator dry zone are analyzed the electricfield distribution of insulator influenced by more than two dry zones are analyzed.In actual,the insulator string500kV transmission line is formed by25pieces of XP-160type insulator in series connection and dry on the analysis of the monolithic insulatorto the electric field distribution effect, on the basis of analyzing the insulator string dryingeffect on the distribution of electric field. The analysis results show that the insulatorstring on dry zone with different location to insulator has different impact on the electricfield distribution, connection iron cap and steel feet wet filthy can weaken the fieldstrength on both sides of the electrode; The position of dry zone is formed on the insulator,up and down on the surface of the dry with significant impact on the field strength; Dryfield intensity and a u-shaped trend with the position of the belt,; More than insulatorstring on dry zone in the insulator position is not at the same time, the dry zone is locatedin the same insulator to the electric field distribution is greater than the influence of dryzone is located in the influence of different on insulator to the electric field distribution.
