Hills and mountains field take large proportion in coastal areas of our country,in this kind of landscape, the extent of damage to low-rise building caused by winddisaster has a direct relation with its geographical location. Aiming at thewind-induced damage to the low-rise building, the wind load of low-rise buildingaffected by mountain terrain was investigated deeply and systematically through windtunnel test in this article.First of all, the wind tunnel test of wind load effects on model scale of thelow-rise building in several typical mountain terrain of coastal arrears was carried outand the wind pressure on the surface of low-rise building under the effects of suchfactors as the gradient, the height of slope, the spacing between hill and building andthe wind direction were measured systematically. To demonstrate the accuracy of the wind tunnel test results, the wind pressurecoefficient of the low-rise building in the wind tunnel tests was compared with theactual measurement result at the scene of typhoon "Fitow", and the comparisonshowed that they matches each other well. The wind pressure coefficient of each measurement point was acquired throughthe process of data obtained from tunnel test, then the surface wind pressuredistribution on the low-rise building model in two different simulated wind fields of Aand B without surroundings were compared; The influence of the changes of windfield on the wind pressure coefficient of the low-rise building surface was analyzed; The box-counting dimension of wind pressure series were acquired by analyzing thedata obtained from tunnel test with fractal theory. The differences of wind effects ofthe low-rise building model in different wind fields were explored. In order to obtain the wind load characteristics of the low-rise buildingaccurately in typical mountain landscapes, the thesis analyzed the impact of threevariables of the slope of mountain, the distance between hill and building and theheight of mountain on the wind load of low-rise buildings. By comparing the surfacewind pressure distribution on low-rise building under different wind directions, theworst wind direction under the effect of mountain terrain was summarized, which canoffer some useful suggestion for the wind-resistant design of the low-rise building.
