Phase change energy storage air-conditioning technology is an important airconditioning energy-saving technologiey. Since its energy efficiency and goodeconomy,and its research has been more and more diversified, and its application isalso becoming more and more widely.The main object in this paper is the study of thecore component of a phase change energy storage air conditioning system-slab phasechange energy storage unit,whose performance directly affects the performance of theentire phase change energy storage air conditioning system. The physical model ofphase change energy storage unit is relatively complex, the rectangular phase changeunit is divided into several slabs that embeded serpentine refrigerant piping,and theheat transfer fluid channel is sandwiched between two of adjacent phase change slabs.Energy storage and release of the model is a complex three-dimensional heat transferproblem,and its solution need to do some simplified. In this study, we use the sensibleheat capacity method model to solve the heat transfer problem of phase change unit.Firstly,taking the structural features of the unit into consideration,when we studythe condition of energy release, we make some simplifying for the study of thequestion, and establish a simplified mathematical model of phase change energystorage unit. In the process of solution, we use the maximum work time as the startingpoint,and also take the factor of difficulty of construction into consideration.Then westudy the best combination of different thickness of the slab with varying magnitudeof the wind in order to determine the physical structure of phase change energystorage unit and the selection of the fan.Secondly,when the physical structure of phase change energy storage unit and theselection of fan is completed,we try to get the completion times under the condition ofair energy storage when the outdoor air is different.When study the condition ofcompressor refrigeration storage of phase change energy storage unit,we can make useof the melting and solidification model of Fluent software to simulate thesolidification time in the condition of different evaporating temperature.By this way,wecan obtain working time of the condition of compressor refrigeration storage of phasechange energy storage unit.This article is mainly aimed at theoretical study of the energy storage and releaseperformance of phase change energy storage unit,and it lay a foundation for phase change energy storage air conditioning system design and development.
