The number of automobile is increasing rapidly as the national economydevelops. As a result, the incidence of traffic accident also increases in China everyyear. Thus, China has formulated the corresponding laws and regulations onautomobile collision safety,and at the same time all the car companies are also givingmore attention to the the study of vehicle crash safety technology, in order to meet theincreasingly stringent regulations for collision and get higher NCAP impact value.My thesis takes an SUV model as the research object, and use the computersimulation technology to make researches about collision safety.The main results andconclusions of my thesis are as follows:(1) Using Hypermesh software to establish the SUV vehicle frontal impactanalysis model. A car frantal crash was successfully simulated by LS-DYNA, And theresult files. First, by the quality addition and energy analysis to determine if thecollision results are reliable or not. Then making analysis to deformation sequencediagrams of the vehicle, door frame deformation, front wall plate invasion, vehiclespeed and acceleration, the front longitudinal beam and bumper. Through the analysiswe will find that the invasive front panel is too large, the maximum acceleration isslightly big, which can not meet the corresponding requirements of collisionregulations. By analyzing the bumper maximum displacement,we will find that thevalue is slightly larger. Thus, the safety performance of the vehicle can be optimized.(2) Make optimization schemes to bumper: choose aluminum alloy material andincrease its thickness. The bumper system’s carsh may be or not impove by verify.(3) Make vehicle crash analysis on the improved bumper system. collision resultsComparing with the results before and after optimization model simulation collision.As a result, the crash worthiness was improved.My thesis analyzes the vehicle collision and make optimization by computersimulation, providing a optimizing mode for companies to reduce the enterpriseresearch period,and the cost of R&D.
