With the development of urban construction, the permanent anti-floating hasbecome increasingly complex.The pull-out behavior of traditional Anchor isinadequate,so we developed a class of Soil Anchor with appendages.The Anchor iscomposed of bolts body and appendages angled to bolts body.Appendage wedges intothe surrounding soil and interacts with it to achieve the purpose of increasing thebearing capacity of the Anchor.We observe the failure mode of the Anthor and clearits pullout performance by indoor pullout test. On the basis of making clear thebearing mechanism of the Anchor,we proposed its bearing capacity formula. The mainresearch contents of this paper are as follows:(1)We developed a class of Soil Anchor with appendage (patent license No. ZL200910154260.3).The Anchor is composed of bolts body and appendages angled tobolts body.(2)We conducted comparative tests of four groups,three groups of which areAnchor with different numbers of appendage and different relative angle ofppendage,one group of which is traditional Anchor. P-s curve obtained in the testshowed that the bearing behavior of Anchor with appendages is better than thetraditional Anchor. Its carrying capacity can be increased by more than50%.(3)In-depth analysis of the bearing mechanism,its loading process can dividedinto three phases. Its carrying capacity is mainly composed by the shearing frictionalong the interface of the Anchor body and the weight of the Anchor body and theshearing friction along the interface of soil pole wrapped by the appendages.(4)On the basis of in-depth analysis on the bearing mechanism,Wecomprehensively considered the bearing mechanism of Pedestal Pile and PedestalAnchor, and proposed its bearing capacity formula.Finally,we found that calculatedand measured results are in good agreement.(5)Testing process was simulated by ANSYS finite element software. We foundthat calculated P-S curve and measured P-S curve are in good agreement.Finally,more models are established to analyze factors of the Anthor.
