Traditional houses of minorities’ in southern Yunnan province have long been pile houses which use wood as its main building materials. With the development of tourism in these traditional villages, the sound environment of traditional pile houses has changed a lot. The problem to eliminate noise has become the bottleneck of improving the life quality of villagers. They try to improve the indoor acoustic environment spontaneously. But it is hard to put it over because of their skimpy economical and technical conditions. So it is necessary to develop a sound insulation technic which should high-efficiency and easy making.Sound insulation technic of lightweight wooden structure has turning perfect. But it’s impossible to copy it to the traditional pile houses. Combining the situation of wooden pile houses with economic condition of the villagers and local materials is the only way to tackle the problem.In this thesis, the transformation of traditional wooden houses indoor acoustic environment dry bar to do a more systematic study. Research departure from the status quo, with emphasis on the traditional wooden houses dry bar acoustic environment analysis, the traditional wooden houses insulation dry bar of several solutions principle. Carding a new modern building insulation materials and technology related to the new structure, analysis of domestic and foreign representative building insulation technical characteristics. Proposed three solutions of traditional wooden houses dry bar acoustic environment practices:good planning, proper construction techniques, reasonable functional layout, to improve the living environment of the residents of the interior has important significance.Wooden houses wide distribution in Yunnan. Sound insolation problems are widespread in these houses. From here we see that the noise problem in wooden pile houses is an urgent problem in the process of the development of vernacular architecture. The research results of this paper not only to improve the indoor acoustic environment of traditional pile houses, other types of timber-framed houses can also have a certain reference value.
