Abstract/Summary:
LVL(Laminated Veneer Lumber, referred to as LVL) is a new type of wood construction materials, engineering materials is to press along the wood grain laminated veneer peeling hot glue. LVL is a green light quality high-strength, uniformity and performance specifications flexible engineering materials. LVL physical performance than solid wood, and simply use artificial fast-growing trees and logs in the trail, just the original plywood production and processing lines for simple transformation can produce processing of high value-added products, so be LVL plywood manufacturers, board manufacturers are optimistic about their expected future must be broad application prospects.Taking subei fast-growing poplar as raw materials processed LVL, by the moisture content of LVL, arrange grain basic materials such as compressive strength, horizontal shear strength test, based on the theory of compound material mechanics, determine the physical and mechanical properties of LVL and constitutive relations. By phenolic resin adhesive, LVL board agglutination into compression member, making the full size9different slenderness ratio of root compression member, and the structure performance test study on the compression member. Research is mainly focused on the damage form of compression member, compressive ultimate bearing capacity and failure mechanism, etc. Comparing domestic specification, verify the feasibility of fast-growing poplar LVL were used as structural components.ABAQUS finite element analysis software is used to convert LVL is simplified to orthotropic materials, LVL wood columns axial compression numerical model is established, and studies the stress and strain distribution, stress-strain curve, and compared with experiment results verify that the two are in good agreement in the elastic stage.The results showed that, LVL compression members compared with logs sawn timber, greatly improving the poplar material stiffness, strength, after the timber is made by LVL can improve structural performance, improve the utilization of wood.
