As the main part to connect energy storage component and three-phase network,the energy storage converter directly decide the performance of the whole energy storage system. A-NPC (Advanced Neutral Point Clamped) tri-level stored energy converter is a kind of converter which has a new topology.Because it has fewer power switch tubes and high efficiency,also with a small harmonic content at the same time,so do research into it is beneficial to develop the energy storage system.This paper focuses on the A-NPC tri-level stored energy converter,and the major work includes several aspects.Firstly,analysis the architecture and priciple of the A-NPC converter.Then gives a detailed description of its switching processes.In order to implement the current closed-loop PI control,the model of A-NPC tri-level converter in different coordinate systems is derived mathematically,which is based on the switching function.Futhermore,the study of tri-level sine pulse width modulation method in this paper contributes to the derivation of PWM driving signal in the converter,and its feasibility is simulated by SIMULINK.Based on the completion of the works introduces above,the next step goes to design the software and hardware for the converter system.A real-time in-the-loop simulation system of RT-LAB is built by using the design.The simulations show few distortion but high quality of waveform in the output.This indicates that the software and hardware are designed properly.Lastly,the design is applied to the prototype of A-NPC tri-level stored energy converter,and is debugged to implement the general functions successfully.
