As the rapid development between urban and rural, especially, the nonlinear loads soar constantly, which not only increases the proportion of the harmonic component, but also threats security of the power system and the quality of power.The device of harmonic suppression plays a key role to improve the quality of power, curtail the harmonic component and related pollutions, however, the higher working condition depends on proper devices and detail of situations.In this paper, the theory and the technique of resolving harmonic wave are combined with actual details in Ha Erbin, and research the harmonic suppression device specially. At first, according to relevant references, the poor quality of power, the pollutions and the method of solving are discussed.Then,the principle of passive filter and active filter are introduced as well as the various kinds of filters. In the part of passive filter, attentions are focused on the application of PPF in the High-voltage AC and DC power system. While in the part of active filter, Various harmonic detection algorithms and PWM control techniques are briefly concluded, mainly analyzing compensatory shunt APF.Moreover, the working principle of shunt APF and the control strategies are researched and analyzed, especially, the three-phase three-wire shunt APF hysteresis Current Control. Finally, according to the theory research, a three-phase three-wire shunt APF model which is base on a chemical factory is built, and then simulated by Matlab, and analyzed the results of the simulations, which is valuable for Ha Erbin power company to choose the device smoothly in the future.
