Urban power grid is faced with many problems to be solved with the development of national economy and the rapid growth of electricity load, such as how to make the city power grid and city overall harmonious development, to make scientific, accurate medium and long-term load forecasting, frame the reasonable structure of distribution network, improve power supply reliability, power quality, reduce network losses, etc. The first step to solve these problems should start from the scientific planning of distribution network.Traditional distribution network planning is given priority to with experience, although some indicators calculation can make use of other software, such as power flow calculation, but many indicators respectively use different software, which increases the workload of data mining and data interface, affects the planning schedule. Since there are no standard data accumulation leading to a serious lack of basic data, it’s hard to ensure the integrity of the data and the data quality is severely constrained planning quality. In view of the importance, urgency and complexity of distribution network planning, the paper aims to build a set of data integration, scientific computing, intelligence tool, achievement evaluation and management for the integration of the auxiliary planning decision system based on geographic information as the foundation.In order to make progress match with our urban development demand, the system platform of technology and architecture, close the gap between algorithms and the latest research results, to overcome the lack of data and improve data management capabilities, we use the grey theory and data mining technology based load forecasting method with incomplete solution to the original data prediction problem based on AutoCAD interface. It combinates the electrical network theory, optimization of mathematics, computer graphics with practical technology such as database technology, geographic information perfectly. Urban power grid planning achieves graphics, digital and interactive, so as to improve the work efficiency, and planning levels of planning personnel, and works for planning essential data accumulation platform is established at the same time.
