Offshore wind energy is a hot in the field of energy studies as one kind of greenand renewable energy. The research of pile-soil interaction of pile foundation ofoffshore wind power has aroused wide concern. The pile foundations of offshore windpower usually bear the intense combined actions of wind load, wave load, ice loadand so on. These environmental loads make horizontal load which would act on thepile foundation. In recent years, with the generating output of wind driven generator, the diameter of pile foundation is more and more large, and pile foundation as antraditional foundation has been widely applied in offshore wind power. The p-y curvemethod is one of computing methods of pile foundation with horizontal load, theelastic and plastic proceeding can embodied in this method and choosing reasonableparameter of p-y curve is the key point. Now a deep study on p-y curves of largediameter pile foundation is in needed. This paper introduced the research method and research status of pile-soilinteraction of pile foundation of offshore wind power, and focused on some typicalp-y curve models. Based on measured data, the research work is summaried asfollows:(1) Collection on measured p-y curves. The soil and pile parameters in p-y curveswere analyzed, and selecting suitable standard parameters to normalize p-ycurves, and the hyperbolic model was chosen to fit normalized curves.(2) By summarizing the current studies of the ultimate resistance of the soil, selecting appropriate parameters of the hyperholic model. The hyperholicmodel could be used in the analysis of pile-soil interaction of pile foundationof offshore wind power. The hyperholic model takes the pile diameter, constrution and other factors into account.(3) Using the finite element analysis software of ABAQUS and SACS to analyzeexamples. Through the comparative analysis of examples, the validity and applicability of the hyperbolic model are proved.(4) Using the finite element analysis software of ABAQUS and SACS to analyzethe monopile with diameter of6.2m. The simulation results show that the p-ycurves recommended by standards is too safe. The large-diameter pile p-y curve derived from the hyperbolic model is simple.Through selecting parameters, considering the pile diameter, constrution and otherfactors, hyperbolic model could be used in the p-y analysis of laterally loadedlarge-diameter piles in sand in practice, instructive reference about engineeringprojects was provided.
