Marine sliding bearing have poor working conditions compared with commonsliding bearing. Ship is rocking during the voyage, the pitch up±30°, roll up±45°.Then setting very high requirements to the impact resistance of sliding bearing andseal etc, to ensure the working reliability of sliding bearing. Marine drive motor outputshaft of large diameter and dynamic seal of high linear velocity, the dynamic sealingline speed is very high, so the general dynamic seal cannot meet the requirements.Thereliability of the sliding bearing dynamic seal has been plagued the industry but is aserious problem to be solved. It is usually adopt non-contact labyrinth seal in thedesign of sliding bearing shaft end seal in order to maintain working pressure of thesliding bearing and to ensure its efficiency. Currently sliding bearing lubricant leakageproblems occur frequently in the course of their work, so it needs to carry out in-depthresearch.In this paper, the main work is as follows:(1)It briefly introduced five kinds of typical labyrinth seal leakage formula, anddescribed their scope of application. Using hydrodynamic flow field Knowledge foranalysis the labyrinth seal.(2)Analysis the flow field analysis method of labyrinth seals, and according tothe Marine horizontal sliding bearing shaft end of the labyrinth seal, established thestaggered type two-dimensional axisymmetric finite element model of labyrinth seal.To establish the model, mesh, and set the boundary conditions by Gambit software. Theflow field and the leakage characteristic of labyrinth cavity are studied by using CFDsoftware Fluent.Then come to a conclusion, the effects of pressure ratio, tooth, speedand maze geometry and other factors on labyrinth seal leakage amount through thesingle variable method, multiple sets of numerical simulation.(3)Redesigned sliding bearing sealing structure for Marine horizontal slidingbearing oil leak phenomenon, analyzing the reasons for its leakage, combined with theprinciple of the labyrinth seal and the impact of various factors on the performance ofthe labyrinth seal. Build a test bench can simulate sliding bearings in a horizontal,vertical tilt10°,vertical tilt30°, Lateral tilt15°and high flow (28-90L/min) and otherconditions of work. Through the experiments, sliding bearing end cover of labyrinth seal nolubricating oil leakage phenomenon, the rationality of the design of sealing structurewas verified. No oil leakage in the sliding bearing end cap of labyrinth seal byexperiment to verify the reasonableness of the seal structure design.
