Precision resistances are core components of precision instrumentations,and the property of precision instrumentations depend on a great extent on theresistances. When the resistance is under load, the temperature of the resistoance willincrease as the current is running through, and then leads to the change of thevalue.The measurement error caused by resistance radiation must be considered inthe field of precision measurement.This paper takes manganese-copper wireprecision resistance for example, a distributed low load coefficient1Ω resistance hasbeen made. When it’s under certain environment temperature,1W and0.25W loadare applied respectively, the change of the value of the resistance is about severalparts in109. The main aspects of research work in this paper are as follows:1. This paper reviewed the domestic and foreign developmental history andcurrent development of low load coefficient resistances. The corresponding schemeof low load coefficient resistance was put forward acrroding to the principle ofreducing the thermal resistance and reducing the load on unit element; Combinedwith the distributed technology, the suitable resistance wire was selected, reasonableskeleton of resistance element and stent of distributed resistance were designed, thescheme of annealing was put forward.2. The distributed low load coefficient1Ω resistance was made based on thedesign.The winding platform for resistance was established to wind the wire.Theannealing platform was established to optimize the property of the resistance. Theplatform for resistance properties was established to test the temperaturecharacteristics and the load effect of resistance. The stent of the distributed low loadcoefficient1Ω resistance was made.3. A complete standard or specification for the test of resistance load coefficientwas put forward, and then other’s load coefficient can be investigated based on thenew standard.According to the phenomenon of zero load effect point of distributed low load coefficient1Ω resistance, a new way to measure the thermal resistance ofmanganese-copper wire precision resistance was put forward, a thermal resistanceformulae was derived. The scheme to put the manganese-copper wire precisionresistance under certain environment temperature as reference resistance was putforward.
