The characteristic of wave spring is suitable for the operating conditions of compressor valve. The structure of compressor valve with wave spring, the wave spring’s structure and characteristics and the analysis of valve movement law are included in this study. In this paper, structural characteristics of the ring and plate wave spring are analyzed. The structure, advantages and disadvantages of the ring and plate valve with wave spring are discussed. As the annular wave spring is flattened easily, it occurs permanent deformation which makes the valve reliability reduce. An improvement of lift limiter structure of the existing ring valve with wave spring is presented for solving this problem.A physical model is established for the annular wave spring. Considering the change of contact state between the annular wave spring plate and support surface and the effect of radial displacement, the stiffness expression of annular wave spring is deduced by the Castigliano’s Theorem and Energy Method. The stiffness expression indicates that its stiffness is nonlinear. The equivalent motion mass and stress of annular wave spring under linear and nonlinear cases are analysed with Rayleigh method and the third strength theories. By the VB software, the stiffness, equivalent motion mass and maximum stress of annular wave spring are calculated. The maximum stress locates in the trough of annular wave spring. Compare to the stiffness calculation of the related literature, the calculation of this paper is closer to the measured values. As the structure of plate wave spring is complex, the contact nonlinear analysis method of the finite element software ANSYS is used to analyse the deformation and stress of the plate wave spring with incision and without incisionin. The deformation and stress diagrams are obtained, the deformation calculation is close to the measured values. The deformation and stress of both kinds of the plate wave spring at equivalent loads are compared. Finally, a mathematical model is established for the new structure of the ring valve with wave spring. The differential equations of motion and gas flow of suck and discharge valve are solved with the Runge-Kutta method. The movement law curve of suck and discharge valve indicate that the valve has low impact velocity of the valve plate against the lift limiter or valve seat. The valve has high reliability. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Valve, wave spring, stiffness, equivalent motion mass, stress, movement law | PDF Full Text Request |
