On one hand, with the rapid development of economy and increasing investment of the infrastructure construction, the need of high-rise building become more and more strong. Taller height of the building usually means deeper depth of foundation pit. On the other hand, international anti-terrorism situation is grim, many civil defenses are being constructed, and foundation pit support is always used as permanent support in the civil defense. Especially, in soft soil foundation engineering, double-row piles supporting structure becomes more popular during the construction and design enterprises.Now the double-row piles supporting structure is widely applied in foundation pit supporting project and anti-landslide project. A lot of experiences was accumulated by many scholars who had done much practice research. As far as domestic research status of the double-row piles supporting structure, there are still many unknown flied about it need to be done. For example, so far, there is nobody who has done any research about bigger width-depth ratio of the double-row piles supporting structure.The new multiple layers horizontal connection of double-row piles supporting structure is a innovative supporting structure. As a first pur forward double-row piles supporting structure, it has filled in the blank of bigger width-depth ratio of the double-row piles supporting structure. However, to be a new double-row piles supporting structure, from put forward to practice engineering application, it will always have a long time process, and there are lots of theory and experiment research need to be done by scholars.This paper analyzed advantage and disadvantage of the new double-row piles supporting structure, compared with common double-row piles supporting structure, in5different points of view. And a perfect model testing plan was designed. Model testing of this paper has compared distribution od internal force and displacement of pile top of two different supporting structure which had same size and was under same load. By the comprehensive arrangement analysis that model testing data, conclusions are drawn:1. Compared to the common double-row piles supporting structure, the new structure decreased displacement of pile top by20%.2. Relative to common double-row piles supporting structure, the horizontal connections which were applied pre-tightening force, effectively decreased the moment value of pile, and stability of supporting structure was improved.Meanwhile, research results of this paper provide, at certain extent, research foundation about the model test to the successors who want to do further study of the new multiple layers horizontal connection of double-row piles supporting structure.
