In recent years, with the rapid development of urban construction and increasingdensity of building, there are a lot of underground structures (the existing basementwall,some deep foundation) close to existing underground structures. The classicalCoulomb or Rankine earth pressure theory is based on the semi-infinite assumption,which is not applicable to this case. Some theoretical calculation of earth pressureconsidering the existence of the underground structure is defective such as theassumption is too simple or the constraints of boundary conditions are too complex.and experimental results obtained often unsatisfactory because of the small size of themodel. Therefore, this paper makes the numerical simulation analysis of earthpressure acting on supporting structure of deep excavation adjacent to underground.The main contents are as follows:Firstly, this paper introduces the main contents of some typical mechanism ofsoil pressure which have the advantage of simplicity of calculation, as wellas wide scope of application.But it is limited to boundary conditions are toosimple,so it is not applicable to the calculation of earth pressure acting on supportingstructure of deep excavation adjacent to underground. And some mechanismconsidering the impact of the underground structure assume that the bottom ofunderground structure is lower than the bottom surface of the supporting structure,andtheir failure mode is too simple, so this paper using numerical simulation methods tosolve the problems above.Secondly, this paper has carried on the numerical simulation analysis based on anumerical calculation software to obtain soil failure mode under the influence ofunderground structure focusing on the nature of the soil, the size of the undergroundstructure, the location of underground structures and the distance betweenunderground structures and the excavation. It also obtained the critical distance of theinfluence of structures acting on earth pressure.Thirdly,through further research and analysis of the numerical results, this paperhas simplified the calculation model of earth pressure acting on supporting structureof deep excavation adjacent to underground. This model is compared with part of testand numerical results to verify the feasibility of the proposed calculation model.Finally, the calculation model has been applied to the excavation of Huayuan Hua center. The economical efficiency of this calculation mode was fully proved bythe analysis of some excavation segments. Through the latter part of the fieldmonitoring data, the feasibility of the calculation model has been verified.
