Composite structure with corrugated steel webs is a new type of compositestructure, which uses the corrugated steel webs instead of the traditional concretewebs. It has a clear stress path. The composite structure can make full use of theadvantages of steel and concrete materials, and effectively improve the cracks of theconcrete bridge webs. We called this composite bridge with corrugated steel webswhich use this structure. Compared with the traditional concrete box girder,composite box girder bridge with corrugated steel webs greatly reduced the weight ofthe upper structure, the quantity of substructure construction and the program cost.This kind of bridge realizes the lower weight of bridge, improves the stability ofstructure and the utilization of materials. The bridge with corrugated steel webs has astrong aesthetic feeling and will become a better selection for bridge type.Based on the project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (Number51278183), Shaanxi Provincial Transportation Department of Science and Technologyproject, combined with an actual project, this paper carried out the key technologyand economic performance of composite box girder structure with corrugated steelwebs. From the perspective of design, the composite T girder bridge with corrugatedsteel web has been put forward as a thought. It has a guidance and reference value forthe future optimization design and the actual construction of the composite structurebridge with corrugated steel webs. We should promote the application of compositestructure with corrugated steel webs in our country.Generally speaking, the main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1) Based on a large number search of foreign and domestic references, Itconcluded composite structure bridges with corrugated steel webs from the span, thestructure form, the form of cross section, the construction method, the size ofcorrugated steel webs and the form of shear connector in aspects of the development.Via this, a basic framework of bridge with corrugated steel webs design and thoughtare formed.(2) Based on an actual middle-span composite box girder bridge with corrugatedsteel webs project, from the perspective of design, this paper introduced the verticaland horizontal cross section structure, the connection between the concrete flangeplate and corrugated steel webs, the connection between corrugated steel webs, theprestressed system and the construction method in details. This paper also carries out the finite element analysis of single beam model and grillage model, analyzesstructure in different states of stress, and compares with the standard design of40mprestressed concrete continuous box girder bridge in economic performence. Theresults show that the composite box girder with corrugated steel webs has greatadvantages in economic performance than the traditional concrete box girder inmiddle-span.(3) According to the study of T beam with corrugated steel webs at present stage,this paper puts forward a new design of composite T beam with corrugated steelwhich used finite element software to analyze in respects of technology, construction,economic performance and so on. Compared with concrete continuous T-beam bridge,it discussed the ability of popularization and application of composite T beam withcorrugated steel webs. The results show that composite T beam with corrugated steelwebs has great advantages and can be applied in middle-span.
