Preliminary Study On Ecology Optimizing Of Waterfront Area Landscape In City Park

Waterfront space is a kind of space which has a great life impact to cityand city life. Since ancient time, waterfront space served as a transitional zone betweenland and territorial waters. Waterfront space is quite important to human beings. Peoplesought for survive chances based on their instincts, so they chose to live along watersideinstinctively. On the current situation of People’s Republic of China, research,designing and treating of waterfront space ecologicalization in early years exposedshortcomings. These shortcomings directly caused many factors which limit sustainabledevelopment of waterfront environment. I think, landscape planners must comprehendknowledge about our natural systems. Comprehension of natural systems can guaranteehuman’s life quality now or ever and maintain rational planning of waterfront space.Currently China is lacking of waterfront space resources. So the designing of waterfrontlandscape are not only focusing on viewing and admiring, but also focusing on thefunctions of waterfront space and the form of eco-development. If we carry out this plan,it may solve how to produce the function and society power of scarce resources.Nowadays, under the situation of increasing industrialization, natural resources areoverdeveloped by human actives. The development of society enhances the capacity ofhuman activity. In a comparison with previous situation, natural resources and naturewere damaged seriously. In the sight of sustainable development which Chinesegovernment advocates, Chinese people have the cognition of protecting naturalenvironment gradually, and they attempted to change environmental degradationsomehow. However, for the current situation in China, there still exist many weaknessesof managing and planning of waterfront landscape. To be more specific, people putmore attention on utilitarian value. The waterfront landscape planner treated waterfront landscape as project entities rather than urban public space. Planners ignored necessityof human beings physically and mentally. Or they only cared about immediate benefit,and paid no attention to the original properties of the environment and eco-development.These statements above pushed waterfront area and the natural properties of waterfrontarea onto a highly confrontation.This research takes eco-optimization of waterfront landscape in urban area asresearch target. I attempt to analyze ecology on premise of planning and developing,seek for successful cases of waterfront landscape in other countries, and providesuggestions and solutions which conform to Chinese’ situation and properties ofChinese waterfront landscape.
