With the deeper research and application of the theory of the Smart Grid, smart distribution grid (SDG), which epitomizes the characteristics of two-way power flow and two-way information flow in smart grid, has had a stronger impact on the development of smart grid. With the gradual popularization and application of distributed energy resources (DERs), the SDG will be the major interface for DERs linked to the smart grid. Meanwhile, there will be more and more intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) in the SDG to ensure the observability of the SDG. Those changes in the SDG will bring a large number of metering information. How to build an integrated information system which meets the requirement of the development of smart grid and SDG has very important significance for the security, stability and optimal operating of SDG.The research focus of information integration of SDG can be divided into two categories so far:general research on information integration of whole smart grid including the SDG and research on information integration of some parts or some advanced applications of SDG. The former research focus on development trendency of whole smart grid, which is often difficult to get detailed analysis of SDG information integration. However the latter research only focus on a part of SDG, which cannot meet the requirement of information integration of entire SDG.In this thesis, combining the two type of research ideas, we study the relative theory and methods of integrated metering infrastructure (IMI) of SDG based on the theory of smart grid conceptual model.Firstly, the thesis introduces the smart grid conceptual model and the concept of domain, and summarizes the conceptual model of SDG. On this basis, the thesis brings forward a concept of IMI of SDG, analyzes the functional requirements and characteristics of IMI, and concludes its meaning for the development of SDG.The IMI of SDG is the description of process of information flow in the SDG. The thesis proposes two methods for the analysis of the applications in the SDG:PIC method used for the analysis of information flow and five views method used for the analysis of the requirements of information flow. Those methods are applied to a case named reactive power and voltage control. Based on the previous research, we propose a reference architecture of IMI and its detailed description. In addition, the thesis also study on the algorithm for the information network planning of SDG. An optimization model is given for the survivability of information network of SDG by using N-1criterion in this paper. A heuristic algorithm with N-1constraint is proposed to solve the model successfully. The compared results of example show that the heuristic algorithm can satisfy the survivability constraint of network planning.
