With the continuous improvement of the maritime strategy in our country, marine economy has entered a rapid development stage, enthusiasm for island development is growing around the world. Economic development, power first, the development of the island region is inseparable from the reliable power protection. However, due to the special geographical environment factors of island regions, its power supply is difficult to get good protection. If the energy supply of the island relies too heavily on the input of conventional energy sources from the outside, the island will difficult to cope with fluctuations in energy supply, thus affects the long-term development of the island, and leads to the deterioration of the environment. Therefore, the development potential of the island is to make full use of the rich renewable energy such as wind and solar power which the island itself has. In view of the renewable energy has the characteristics of randomness and volatility, it can be fully and effectively utilized by establishing island micro-grid system. Therefore, this article made island microgrid with renewable energy sources as the research object, from the load side and the supply side into account, and concerned about the island microgrid system optimization scheduling problem. The concrete content is as follows.First, the typical structure of island microgrid with wind/PV/diesel generator/battery and desalination and the function of each component is analyzed, presented to desalination as a controllable load to auxiliary adjustment the power balance of the system, considering the case of the battery life loss and diesel fuel consume in the battery, presented to the energy switching strategy about the battery and the diesel generator to complement power difference, and established a corresponding mathematical model.Second, the objective is to minimize the fuel cost of the diesel generator and minimize the life loss of the battery, optimize the output power of photovoltaic systems, wind energy systems, energy storage systems, diesel generators and others. Considering the limitations of each micro-power output, battery state of charge, and many other issues, constructed the corresponding constraints, established island microgrid with wind/PV/diesel generator/battery and desalination load multi-objective optimization scheduling model.Finally, it used the proposed method to a numerical example for the island to optimize the scheduling of its microgrid system, and adopted a multi-objective non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-Ⅱ) to solve case model. Via comparative analysis between considering the auxiliary power regulation of the desalination systems and without considering it, explained a significant role in the auxiliary power regulation of desalination system to improve system optimization scheduling economy.
