Research And Implementation Of Transmission Line Icing3D Simulation System

In recent years, with the increase in the number of extreme winter weather days, the transmission line icing problems are becoming increasingly prominent, to people’s lives brought great inconvenience.Therefore, the transmission line icing related phenomena research, and enhance the power grid on the capacity of the ice storm, has become imperative.This paper design and implement a three-dimensional simulation of transmission line icing system by using virtual reality technology, three-dimensional simulation of transmission line icing, combine model editing, materials simulation technology.Firstly, the transmission line icing morphology analysis, combined with domestic and foreign research data using virtual modeling tools for different types of transmission line icing morphological modeling and textures edit, create all types of virtual multi-icing simulation Model.Then build the three-dimensional simulation model of transmission line and tower. Finally With Microsoft Visual Studio2010and OSG (Open Scene Graph) development platform, integration and optimization of the model as a whole, the use of particle system simulation for the weather, icing achieve real-time3D simulation showing the effect.This system is able to demonstrate vividly different types of transmission line icing morphology and material characteristics, but also has three transmission towers and transmission lines display, showing the transmission environment surrounding topography, weather effects of rain and snow simulation capabilities, and increased human-computer interaction function, the user can use the mouse and keyboard to operate on the scene, such as three-dimensional roaming scenarios.Experimental results show that the three-dimensional transmission line icing icing simulation system in disaster research, has broad application prospects and practical significance.
