Flow is one of the important parameters in industrial production process. The flow measurement playsan important role for safety, economy, efficiency. Flow contains volume flow and mass flow. The mass flow will not change with the change of the time, space, temperature and pressure, so the measurement of mass flow is widely used in the field of industrial production, environmental, scientific research.This paper proposes a method based on the principle of Karman vortex street for the measurement of mass flow. It will produce differential pressure when the fluid flow through the double bluff body fluids.We get the differential pressure signal by differential diffusion silicon pressure sensor. The signal contains the dual characteristic. The differential pressure signal is divided into two roads. And we can get the mass flow of the fluid by calculating. And it will produce overlapping phenomenon by the double bluff body. The differential pressure signal is more stable, and the amplitude is bigger. So it can expand the measuring range and improve the sensitivity of the measurement.This paper mainly includes the following aspects:(1) Introduce the importance of the measurement of mass flow and the existing methods includingboth the indirect measuring method and the direct measurement method.(2) Introduce the characteristics of the flow and measuring principle of vortex street flowmeter.Analyze the existing methods, characteristics and shortcomings in practical application based on the principle of the vortex street fluid flow,(3) Put forwarda method for the measurement of mass flow based on the principle of the Karman vortex street. And analyze the specific scheme.(4) Make a simulation for the measurement scheme using Fluent. Discuss the optimal distance between the two blunt bodies and the best positions to get pressureaccording to the simulation results.
