The non-effectively grounded system is used in the distribution network.But fault location are not solved when single-phase earthing fault occurs. Existing location methods can be divided into two parts:method based on steady-state component and method based on transient component. The traditional fault location method based on steady-state component has following shortages in practical applications. Such as reduced accuracy, affected by neutral grouding mode.In addition, the method are also limited by smaller and uncertain measured values.With the development of science and technology.Measurement of transient signal in non-effectively grounded system has been easy to implement. Transient value is greater than steady-state value,and it has a clear difference between the fault section and the non-fault section.Therefore the location method based on transient component has high sensitivity, and it less affected by arc equipment. The first chapter analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional fault location methods.The second chapter proposes fault location method by information fusion based on fuzzy theory.Through the integration of information,the method have good adaptability and high realiability.The third chapter presents a fault location method based on transient component genetic algorithm.The method locates fault by using the phase relationship between transient zero-sequence current and bus zero-sequence voltage. And it makes full use of genetic algorithm’s characteristics of overalll search and fault tolerance. The simulation test by matlab have been carried out to prove the feasibility of the method,and also build afoudation for practical application.According to the method proposed in second chapter.A single-phase grouding fault location system has been designed.After RTDS simulation test,the reliability and practicality of the system has been fully validated.
