| For areas with grid construction difficulties, but relatively abundant wind resource, wind-diesel-battery micro-grid is an effective means to solve the problem of insufficient power supply. With the wind-diesel-battery micro-grid, making full use of local natural resources, protecting the environment and reducing the investment and operating costs can be achieved.The structure and operating principle of wind power generation systems, diesel power generation system and battery energy storage system are introduced. A detailed mathematical model of each subsystem is established and confirmed in Matlab/Simulink by building and running a simulation model of each subsystem. The simulation results show that the built model well described the characteristics of the power sources.With controlled voltage source to simulate a controllable load, a battery charge and discharge control simulation model is achieved. Matlab/Simulink simulation results show that the model can simulate the battery charge and discharge within the allowed maximum charge and discharge capacity when the needed power is below the allowed maximum charge and discharge capacity, and charge and discharge at allowed maximum charge and discharge capacity when the needed power is above the allowed maximum charge or discharge capacity.Based on the battery charge and discharge control simulation model, the energy management simulation model of wind-diesel-battery micro-grid was established, and the power supply process is simulated. The energy management simulation model is able to simulate the power supply process of the system with different micro-grid energy management strategy, and can be used to design and verify the system configuration. |
