As the proportion of distributed generation in the distribution system is increasing, the multi-microgrid system composing of a large number of distributed power-islands receives more and more attention. Wireless communication technologies are used widely in the multi-microgrid system, so the information transmission risk is greater. However, the up-to-date researches mainly focus on the control and protection of the physical grid. It will rely extensively on the use of information communication technologies for critical functionalities such as control, protection and monitoring of electrical equipments. Hence it is essential to take appropriate information security defenses for its operation reliably.In this paper, we study the secure energy routing mechanism widely and deeply for the multi-microgrid system with cryptographic techniques. Firstly, analyze the information security vulnerabilities for the multi-microgrid system, pointing the security risks in terms of confidentiality, integrity, legitimacy and so on. Secondly, design a secure energy routing mechanism for the multi-microgrid system with cryptographic techniques when the microgrid sends the energy request and the big power grid sends request respectively. Besides, in order to reduce energy consumption, designs an energy routing selection protocol. Through scheme analysis and simulation analysis, it verifies the effectiveness of secure energy routing protocol. Finally, proposes a key management scheme combining with the actual situation of multi-microgrid in order to secure the key using in the energy routing mechanism. Performance analysis of the scheme shows its feasibility. This paper’studies provide new ideas and methods for the application of cryptographic technology in multi-microgrid system.
