Fluoride is one of necessary nutritional trace element for human. However, excess adsorptionwill cause a kind of disease called “Fluorosis”. Long term of over dose fluoride intake will lead tobone distortion, bone aching, muscle and tendon calcium, walking trouble and even paralysis forsevere victims. In China there are several ten millions of people suffer from endemic diseasecaused by extra intake of fluoride from drinking water. with the improvement of living standardsand water safety awareness, people are more concerned about the safety of drinking water, theurgent need to provide safe, reliable drinking water health security.By the research the purification effect of a kind of point-of-use water purifying device, provide a new water purification device which remove fluoride for the drinking water in thefamily. And conducted researches on the defluorination performance. Then mainly investigatedthe influence factors including: temperature、reaction time、pH、coexisting ions and so on,analyzed the law of HAP adsorption of fluoride, and conducted researches on the regenerativeway of HAP. The conclusions are as follows:(1) technologies of the HAP adsorption, silver impregnated activated carbon bacteriostasisintegrated into the point-of-use water purifying device. The process: raw water'HAP adsorption'silver impregnated activated carbon'effluent water was adopted. the point-of-use waterpurifying device can remove fluoride effectively. Purified water was tested, the result: theconcentration of fluoride <1.0mg/L.(2) With an appropriate increase in temperature, the adsorption amount of HAP increasesaccordingly; while under weakly acidic environment of PH, HAP adsorption is advantageous; andwhen PH=5.0HAP have the maximum adsorption capacity; the adsorption reaction of HAPbasically stable at60minutes; Cl、NO、SO have no significant effect on the adsorption offluoride. silver impregnated activated carbon can inhibit bacteria in sterile water up to60days.Compatible water purifying devices had continuous filtration water, the water quality indicatorsmeasured are eligible.(3) HAP media was cleaned by ways of physical backwash cleaning and chemical cleaning isavailable. However, physical backwash cleaning relies the pollutants easily peeled off from themembrane surface, then washed awa by water, it cannot remove the membrane pore internalpollutant. The optimal conditions for washing: washing at40℃with1%NaOH solution.
