Flue gas gypsum is produced after combustion of sulfur-containing fuel obtained by the desulfurization process of industrial products. Increase the use of FGD gypsum, not only to save the land, reduce environmental pollution but also reduce the exploitation of natural gypsum. Achieve a reasonable resource recycling. This article intends to produce FGD gypsum powder masterbatch modified as a substitute for cement, Gypsum-based composite material modified to achieve a partial substitute for traditional cement based shotcrete. Gypsum modified by several different groups of concrete mix, to analyze the basic mechanical properties and durability of gypsum-based concrete, cement shotcrete with the traditional use of comparative analysis. Gypsum provide a theoretical basis for the practical and scientific guidance better used in production. This involved the gypsum-based materials and basic mechanical properties of durability include the following:compressive strength test, water absorption, softening coefficient test, tensile test, flexural strength test, shear strength (cohesion and internal friction angle) test, the elastic modulus and Poisson’s ratio test, frost resistance test. After laboratory tests that we can draw the following conclusions:gypsum-based material has the characteristics of fast hardening plaster paste final setting time was significantly shorter than the cement paste, described in the context of Gypsum modified without adding accelerator in favor of jet concrete early strength gain Gypsum-based material water resistance, frost resistance is poor compared with the cement. But some other basic mechanical properties of gypsum-based materials used in this experiment is superior to cement-based materials. Gypsum-based composite materials with a modified partial substitute for traditional cement based shotcrete is feasible.
