With energy efficient power systems and the increasing capacity demand,reactive power in the power system of hazard is also growing, not only cause loss ofenergy, but also reduces the electrical capacity and lifetime of the device itself, to theuser huge economic losses. Chain SVG is an electricity converter technology withhigh-power switching devices combining reactive power compensation device, itssimple structure, small footprint, real-time compensation for good performance,compensation range with the traditional reactive compensation devices broader,directly by linking the reactor grid. With its wide application SVG chain andgradually become a hot research.This paper mainly discusses the SVG development process and the status ofdomestic development, chain topology SVG features, through mathematical modelingchain SVG mathematical model based on a single-stage multiplier CPS-SPWMmodulation technique, compared unipolar multiplier with bipolar superiority, basedon single-stage multiplier CPS-SPWM modulation technology, not only can reducethe switching frequency to reduce power consumption but also to reduce the harmonicunit, compared with the multi-chain structure of the harmonic content of SVG tosmaller capacity expansion easier. Analysis of the system control strategy SVGreactive current detection methods and control algorithms control the DC side. Insoftware systems, this paper DSP28335as the main chip, the FPGA logic to achieveas an extension chain SVG system to enhance the computing speed of SVG, andreal-time compensation performance.Chain SVG based on control theory, based on established through MATLABsimulation single-stage multiplier CPS-SPWM simulation model, the simulationexperimental analysis of the single stage multiplier CPS-SPWM feasibility.Simulation results show that the final stage by a single CPS-SPWM modulationfrequency of the output waveform SVG chain lower harmonic content, which is morenearly sinusoidal waveform, the power unit in the limited circumstances to achieve ahigher switching frequency, the effective conservation of resources and its chain ofSVG tag through the chain of SVG technology is easier access to the grid, savingcommissioning and maintenance costs. Chain SVG many advantages and with thepower and technological development, there is no doubt based on a single-stagemultiplier CPS-SPWM chain SVG application areas will be broader.
