Rigid polyurethane foam with itsadvantages such as light weight, highcompression strength, excellent insulation properties, easy molding, is widely used inthe departments of defense, transportation, construction and other.Especially theextremely low thermal conductivity,its adiabatic performanceis far superior to othersimilar materials, so it is mainly used in the insulation industry.Because of the high costand integrated into the larger requirement on workers, use rate ofrigid polyurethanefoam accounted for ten percent inexternal wall insulation market of China. To solvethelow utilization rate of external wall insulation market of China,this paper puts forwardto join the polystyrene foam particles through the process in the preparation of rigidpolyurethane foam,get the hard polyurethane/polystyrene composite foam, in order toensure the performance index, reduce costs, save energy, meet China’s thermalinsulation materials market demand.Single factor test have analysed and discussed that the cross-linking agent (TMP),a foaming agent(H2O), chainextender(BDO), foam stabilizer(B8433) and multiisocyanate index have impact on mechanical strength, toughness and thermalconductivity of rigid polyurethane foam. The study found that, choosingpolyarylpolymethylene isocyanate (PM-100) index1.05, the polyester polyol (RaynolPs-4002)100,(TMP)1.2copies of cross-linking agent, foaming agent(H2O)0.5, chainextender (BDO)1.2,foam stabilizer (B8433)1.5,mechanical strength of rigidpolyurethane foam is the most ideal. By changing the types of polyalcohol, mechanicalstrength, toughness, heat conduction coefficient of rigid polyurethane foam which ismade of the polyester polyol(PS-3152)andpolyether polyol (TMN-450) is relativelybest.Based on the preparation of rigid polyurethane foam, through one step preparationof polyurethane/polystyrene composite foam, it studies the relationship between compressive strength, thermal conductivity of polystyrene foam particles and compositefoam. The study found that, with the increase in the amount of polystyrene foamparticles, compared with the pure rigid polyurethane foam, compressive strength ofcomposite foams will increase, thermal conductivity will decrease.
