Abstract:Steel is the backbone of the world, the application of electromagnetic stirrer is the driving force of high quality continuous casting technology, and is one of the most important developments of continuous casting technology and electromagnetic metallurgy technology since60’s. Then, the electromagnetic stirring technology has brought to the world more technical and economic benefits, while research on electromagnetic stirring technology of our country started lately from the70’s. As the world’s largest steel producing country, research on continuous casting electromagnetic stirring technology should not fall behind, based on electromagnetic induction principle, the core of electromagnetic stirring technology lies in the control of the inverter power supply system. In this paper, the inverter system of electromagnetic stirrer machine based on DSP was studied. The control circuit with TMS320LF2812, the drive circuit with2SD315A and the main inverter circuit with the type FF1200R17KE3of IGBI and the type IN5408of fly-wheel diode were designed. And then, they were combined into a total system circuit. As for the system software, the main control function, the pause subroutine and the PI control algorithm were designed. Finally, the current whose frequency and valid value were adjustable respectively in a certain range was produced. What’s more, an inverter system provided current whose frequency varied from1Hz~6Hz and valid value varied from0-1000A continuously was simulated in the Simulink environment. The simulation circuits and modules were designed. The result of the simulation proved that the designed inverter was reliable.
