In order to meet the human’s demands for electric in the21st century, somescientific problems of the electric power enterprise needs to be solved. For example:explore a new mode of power generation; improve the transport capacity; improve theefficiency of power supply, etc. Conventional technology can only make someimprovement on the existing system. However, superconducting power technologyprovides effective ways to solve these problems. Among them, the SuperconductingMagnetic Energy Storage System not only can store electrical energy of high density,provide the active and reactive power fast, also can be used as the energy storageequipment and uninterruptible power supply, etc.The monitoring and control system of Superconducting Magnetic Energy StorageSystem consists of the signal collection (i.e., measurement system) and the signal control.According to the structure characteristics and the protection requirements of magnet, themeasurement system measures the temperature, pressure, liquid level, magnetic field,current, voltage in real-time. For electric power system, the superconducting magneticenergy storage system is a new kind of device. It has to pass strict performance testbefore running. However, it doesn’t have a unified detection method for superconductingmagnetic energy storage system.In this paper, on the basis of the superconducting magnetic energy storage system,through the comparison of the Bi and Y strip, we choose the TYPE-HTi-CA strip ofsumitomo corporation. And mainly in the following research:(1) Critical current of high temperature superconducting strip under the influence ofvertical and horizontal magnetic field. According to the parameters of thesuperconducting magnetic energy storage system, calculating the vertical and horizontalmagnetic field intensity of the energy storage for100kj,200kj and300kj, to locatemagnetic field measurement.(2) Through the exchange loss and the performance parameters of superconductingcoil to analysis the temperature rise of magnets. On the analysis of the generatingmechanism and model of ac loss, calculate the ac loss of three kinds of work conditionby ANSYS, it is concluded that the maximum. Measurement of critical current in coil, itis concluded that the minimum value, because the smaller easily affected by over currentor disturbance to produce temperature rise.(3) Based on the contrast of a variety of detection methods, the100KJsuperconducting magnetic energy storage system uses the super bridge type circuit todetect the loss. And verifies the feasibility of the experiment for small magnets.(4) In order to avoid the superconducting magnet under high voltage frequently, and ensure the superconducting magnet under pressure value constant pressure discharge,study the improvement methods of the resistance and structure in protection circuit.
