| As the research of onshore wind power technology has already graduallymature, the development of offshore wind power has entered the stage from thetheoretical to the engineering application in China, wind turbine generator systemwith fixed foundation has been put into use in wind farms around the intertidal zoneand offshore wind farms. Offshore wind turbine operates in the complex and harshenvironments, including wind, waves, currents, sea ice, earthquakes and seawatercorrosion, facing with such a harsh natural environment, it is particularly importantto enhance the ability to resist the damage of external environment for wind turbine.Therefore, taking the offshore wind turbine installed on a monopile with a rigidfoundation for study in this paper, loads characteristics under combined action ofwind and wave was analyzed, mainly studying on wind turbine generator systemdynamic behaviors for generator failure, which will be important for ensuring thesafety and stability of wind turbine, meanwhile, it provides the theoretical basis forthe design of structure and control system of offshore wind turbine generatorsystem.Firstly, present situation of wind power at home and abroad are introduced aswell as the research trend of wind power technique, this paper presents the researchsubject combined with the practical application of engineering in the background ofwind power.Secondly, using the data of NREL offshore5-MW wind turbine installed on amonopile, and modeling the wind turbine by FAST, including: blade model,supporting structure model, control system model and so on, other parameters needto be set in the main input file.Thirdly, considering the interaction of aerodynamic load, gravity load andcentrifugal load, dynamic characteristic of offshore wind turbine generator systemunder combined wind and wave are studied. Building a three-dimensional turbulentwind field and calculating the wave force, using blade element moment theory tocalculate the aerodynamic load and load the aerodynamic load on the blades, usingMorison equation to calculate the wave force, then getting the force in domain andload on the support structure. According to IEC standard, load characteristic ofblades and support structure under different conditions are researched, and the effecton blades and towers cause by wind and wave are analyzed.Finally, the common types of generator failure are introduced, building agenerator failure model, based on the existing model, this paper studies the dynamiccharacteristics of wind turbine generator system for generator failure, and gives the simulation result under different control conditions after generator failure, accordingto comparison and analysis, providing a reference for the rational design of controlstrategies. |
