Alashan League is in the utmost west part of the Inner Mongolia AutonomousRegion, with an area of270,000square kilometers and a population of230,000. Becauseit is with a vast territory and sparsely populated, traditional manual meter readingseriously restricts the development of modern power marketing management level. Anew energy information collection tool is urgently needed to improve marketingmanagement level. In addition, with promotion of the electricity market reform process,electricity management is more focused on electricity consumption management, ahigher demand has been applied on the energy information collection and management.Therefore, the establishment of an applied energy information collection system hasbecome an urgent subject to be studied.In this thesis, according to the characteristics of Alashan regional power networkand considering the functional requirements of energy information collection system, theoverall design of an energy information collection system is proposed. Through researchand comparative analysis of several communication methods for local communicationand remote communication, the communication scheme of Alashan PowerAdministration energy information collection system is determined. To solve theproblem that the energy information collection systems can not directly compatible withthe power marketing information system, the ideas and methods to establish anintermediate database for information exchange between systems and data sharing areproposed. The energy information collection system achieves real-time acquisition ofthree kinds of data including electricity purchase, supply and sale, provides a technicalsupport to enhance the load monitoring and improve line loss management level. Thesystem meets the national electric power marketing information modernizationrequirement and developing trend. The system has become an important means thatAlashan Power Administration carry out the census of electricity, line loss managementand marketing management. The system is practically applied with a good effect.
