Reinforced concrete columns strengthened with angle steel is a method ofstrengthening reinforced concrete columns with angle steel wrapped around. After theangle steel wrapped around the concrete columns, the carrying capacity of the column issignificantly improved while the size of the member section is not significantly increased.What’s more, the method consumes little site work through the reinforcement processwhile the overall stability and mechanical properties of the reinforced columns is excellent.Based on the above advantages reinforced concrete columns strengthened with angle steelhas been widely used in the actual project.Currently, there’s few studies on fire performance and fire-resistant protectionmethods of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with Angle steel. Therefore, it isurgently necessary to launch the fire performance and fire-resistant protection methods ofreinforced concrete columns strengthened with angle steel. In view of this, this paperanalysis the influence of related factors on fire performance and fire-resistant protectionmethods. The main contents are as follows1. Select the appropriate material thermal parameters and thermodynamic properties,the model of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with angle steel were created byusing FEA software ABAQUS.2. The thermal field and mechanical performance FEA model was verified by therelevant test results.3. Designed6different FEA models of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with6different size angle steels, calculated the carrying capacity of every reinforced concretecolumns strengthened with angle steels, drew the ultimate capacity–ultimate momentenvelope curve.4. Use the validated model to analysis the influence of related factors on fireresistance, including axial compression ratio, load eccentricity ratio, load ratio andincreasing coefficient of carrying capacity. Revealed the influence of each parameter on theaxial deformation and fire resistance of reinforced concrete columns strengthened withangle steel5. Analyzed the fire resistance of the angle reinforced columns covered with cementmortar which is demanded by the reinforcement specification.
