VCM(Voice Coil Motor), a direct drive and fixed stroke linear DC motor consists of apermanent magnet and coil, because the characteristics of simple structure, small volume,high speed and fast respond, it’s widely used in magnetic head positioning in DVD, lenspositioning in optical system, implementing agencies in AF(automatic focusing) moduleand other high-tech fields.Mobile phone module which based on VCM is the current hot point, so more andmore research focus on the parameters measurement of the VCM, because the VCM drivertechnology, data acquisition technology and micro-displacement sensor technology has thesignificantly influence on the VCM characteristic parameter testing, so it has difficulty intesting the characteristic parameters (sensitivity,starting current,maximum stroke,linearityand hysteresis) of VCM quickly.In view of the actual project problems mentioned above, this article has thebackground of micro-displacement technology and optical electromechanical integrationtechnology, use the laser micro-displacement sensor acquire the micro-displacement of theVCM which drive by a given current;mic-controller generate the constant current todrive the VCM, receive and preliminary process the micro-displacement data from sensor;communicate with the host computer to transmit the data and commands. Labview whichdeveloped by America National Instruments (NI))as the software platform to realize thefollowed steps of the test and final data processing, real-time curve display,evaluate andsave the test results. Based onthis technology, this article puts forward a kind of methodwhich can measure the characteristic parameters of the VCM, so it can resolve the problemwhich difficulty in testing the characteristic parameters of VCM quickly. Through thecontrast and repeatability experiments data, we can know that the testing system andmethod can quickly and accurately measure the parameters of the VCM, and the accuracycan meet the standard requirements of testing VCM. In general the system has theadvantages of simple structure, stable and reliable, easy to operator. It can complete teststarting current, maximum stroke, sensitivity, linearity, hysteresis parameters.The main work of this thesis includes:(1) First, in this paper,summarized the basicstructure of VCM and the characteristic parameters, investigated domestic and foreign technology of the VCM.(2) Constructed the electromechanical coupling model of VCMand simulate it by dynamic.(3) Based on embedded technology to built the hardwareplatform of the test system, and do a comparative analysis between components, usingAltium Designer design the PCB of system.(4) Virtual instrument technology used inVCM parameters measurement construct a virtual instrument system for real-timedetecting, using Labview graphical language to realize data processing, graphical display,evaluate the result etc…(5) Evaluate the performance of this test system, includingsensitivity, repeatability, hysteresis error and linearity.
